About Throughline

We're building the product analytics tool we wanted at our last jobs.

Throughline was started in 2023 by three former platform engineers who spent a combined 14 years building and rebuilding in-house event pipelines. We were tired of the false choice between "fast analytics UI" and "control over your data," so we built one tool that delivers both.

Our principles

Three things we won't compromise on, no matter how much pressure the customer applies:

· The schema is the contract. If your dashboards drift, the product has failed.
· Every query is readable. No vendor lock-in via DSL, ever.
· Privacy is a default, not a setting. PII is redacted before storage, or it doesn't ship.

2023 · The team forms.
Three platform engineers (Brooklyn, Berlin, Lagos) write the first SDK and prove the schema-as-code thesis with two design-partner customers.

2024 · Seed round.
$4.2M led by Index Ventures with BoxGroup and 22 operator angels. First six engineers join.

2025 · Public launch & Series A.
v1 ships in March, 400 teams sign up in the first week. $22M Series A in November.

2026 · You're here.
v2.4 ships with cross-service replay, SOC 2 Type II, and the Berlin office opens with five new engineers.
