Our story

From a 12kg drum in a Portland garage.

In 2014, we bought a single 12-kilo Probat drum, set it up in a garage on the corner of Hanover and Fox, and started roasting two days a week. We’re still in Portland, still roasting twice a week, still on a Probat — just a larger one now, in a real roastery, with a small team of people who care a great deal about the coffee they make.

Every coffee on our menu comes from a farm or cooperative we’ve visited, often a relationship we’ve held for years. We pay farmers prices that begin where the C-market ends. That’s the whole thing.
